This course was created to give professionals and parents an opportunity to learn how to teach the Just Right! curriculum through videos and hands-on activities! We will review EVERY one of the 16 lessons so that you feel comfortable teaching it on your own! We will also review how sensory modulation is seen as a component of emotional regulation and social-emotional learning and how critical it is for academic and social success. Research shows that sensory modulation is a skill that can be taught. This course will review the evidence supporting instruction in sensory modulation and basic concepts and terminology to be used in this instruction.
We made this online webinar so interactive that in order to participate in the hands-on activities, you need to have the following supplies: scissors, glue stick, 2 white paper plates, 1 brass fastener, 1 paper clip, crayons/markers (specifically red, yellow, and green), 1/2 piece of red, yellow, and green construction paper, 1 manila folder and printed handouts (a PDF file will be sent to you prior to the course with the handouts you need to print).
