Handwriting, Sensory, Cooking lessons... Oh MY! (Also Just Right Update #1)

Happy Holidays everyone!

I don't know about you, but this year seems MORE difficult than last year! In an effort to help MORE children and bridge the gaps, I currently teach TWENTY-ONE full classrooms per six-day cycle at my school district across Transitional Kindergarten to 5th grade. I actually had to count them a couple of times because I still can't believe I'm teaching that many! These classes consist of 13 handwriting lessons, 5 Just Right! Sensory Curriculum lessons, 2 cooking classes, 1 Zones of Regulation, and a partridge in a pear tree! Of course, I also have regular pull-out groups and regular push-ins too. This year I decided to start off the year by teaching more handwriting lessons to full classrooms to help the OT kids AND all of the students that are struggling with motor skills. The plan is to switch over to the sensory lessons when we finish the handwriting lessons (and vice versa). I'd love to hear what you are doing this year to bridge the gaps!

That being said, Gwen Wild and I are always thinking about ways to improve or add to the Just Right! Curriculum. I know many of you have purchased the curriculum and I just wanted to share the updates with you.

I will be sharing one update per day for the next several days.

Update #1: For Lessons 1, 2, and 3:

We ADAPTED the handouts in lessons 1, 2, and 3. When we initially created these handouts we added dotted lines for the cutting areas. I really despise dotted lines and found myself self-adapting them every time I used the handouts! So we officially modified them and they are available to print from the handouts section of the www.OTKimWiggins.com website.

Don't forget...if you've purchased the curriculum you have access to the handouts and several other freebies by using the code sent to you in your receipt!

If you have NOT purchased the curriculum yet, please utilize this holiday coupon code: JINGLESALE25 for a discount of 25% on your purchase from now until January 3rd, 2023!

I can't wait to share the rest of the updates! :)
